About the Role
Orchard Title is looking for a dynamic Escrow Officer who has a current book of business, to manage the closing process and provide an exceptional experience for customers for both their own deals and Orchard Brokerage closings. The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate professional with expert knowledge of residential closings. If you are used to working with high-stakes, time-sensitive deals and managing your own pipeline, then we want to hear from you! This is a full time role that will report into the Escrow Manager for your market. We are open to any of the following locations for this role: Phoenix, Denver, Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio.
What You'll Do Here:
  • Actively seek new business by attending sales meetings, real estate events, escrow, and management meetings and interact with lending and banking to increase capture rate.
  • Prepare closing disclosures, escrow agreements and all other settlement documents according to lender and/or buyer/seller instructions
  • Clearly communicate and collaborate with cross-functional departments in Customer Experience, Brokerage, Contract Operations, and Funding to promptly troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the Title process to avoid delays
  • Obtain clear title by curing title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals, and verifying proper vesting
  • Balance all financials with corresponding invoices and tax balances
  • Provide correct lender closing instructions and oversee the receipt and proper disbursement of funds; ensure all outstanding checks and escrowed funds are properly managed
  • Maintain compliance with Orchard Title policies and procedures in accordance with governing laws, regulations, regulatory agencies and company standards

We'd Love to Hear From You if You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Licensed Escrow Officer with their own book of business. Expected to bring in a minimum of 5 closings a month from their book of business.
  • Exceptional verbal and written customer service skills that help form positive relationships both internally and externally
  • Confidence working with technologies (Google Suite) and speciality software (e.g. Qualia) Will train if needed.
  • Working knowledge of state-level escrow rules and regulations enforced by Dept of Insurance
  • A team player mentality who subscribes to the concept of "Team Before Self"
  • Passion for innovation and are comfortable with change
  • Organization skills and are exceptionally detail-oriented

This role has a base + commission compensation structure. The annual base salary range for Denver based candidates is $80,000-$90,000 (plus commission) and is based on skills and experience.
