Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Parlin, NJ
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour
Contractor Work Model: 100% onsite work is required
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
  • Small, family-owned warehouse setting, located in Parlin, NJ
  • Exact Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. All work preformed on-site at warehouse in Parlin, NJ
  • Paying $20 - $25 per hour to start, depending on experience
  • Temp-to-hire (full time, permanent position)
  • Must have formal resume, stable work history. No cell phone usage during work hours (break and lunch period is okay)
  • Those with a passion to work and enjoy being on a small warehouse team are encouraged to apply. Must speak fluent English.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
  • This job opening is with a small warehouse that distributes industrial rubber flooring material in bulk quantities and ship all over North America.
  • Selects proper materials and prepares it for processing based on customer order
  • Prepares material to meet customer specifications. This mostly consists of cutting rubber using mechanical machinery, manually and attaching brackets into the rubber material using power tools.
  • Ensures accurate measurements before all cuts.
  • Assembles and tightens clasps, fittings, roller-bearing mechanisms and other mechanical components & accessories if needed.
  • Uses power tools, hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, drills, screw drivers, etc. as needed
  • RF scanning product and customer order
  • Prepares material for shipment and double checks order accuracy before completing job. (rubber material: gaskets, belts, seals, etc.).
  • Pulls material from existing inventory, maintain clean and organized work station.
  • Operates palletizer (shrink wrap) and wraps completed pallets
  • Accurately follows instructions, including detail Amazon instructions for some repeat business orders.
  • Uses various shipping software to create shipping labels such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldWide, etc.
  • Loads tucks with customer orders: UPS, FedEx, etc. using pallet jacks, manually carrying materials and sit-down forklifts. Unloads materials from trucks when needed.
  • Stages then stows incoming material to appropriate locations in warehouse, RF scanning
  • Assures received items match order before breaking down
  • Maintains cleanliness throughout warehouse at all times.
  • Operates machinery to cut customer order down to correct size (training provided)
  • Basic sit-down forklift operation is required and training is provided.

Warehouse Associate Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. This requirement will not be waive and those without a driver's valid license need not apply.
  • At least one (1) year of prior warehouse or related work experience without gaps in employment along with positive references, including favorable inquires on past attendance. Job hopping (more then two employers in a given year) may not be desirable but may be considered.
  • Training on our forklift will be provided and we look for basic forklift experience.
