Job description

Purpose:

Responsible for the sale of adidas Running and Outdoor apparel and footwear products in the assigned territory by interacting with established wholesale customers and developing new prospects. Maintains personal one-on-one contact and assures customers' awareness by providing expertise, knowledge, new product information and such consistency with company objectives and quality standards. Acts within scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sales programs within assigned territory and successfully sell and promote the company's products.
  • Achieves both short and long-term objectives for increased sales volume and territory growth.
  • Drive the activation of the adidas brand strategy with a portfolio of accounts in the Canadian Sporting Goods marketplace while maintaining best in class service.
  • Educate and inform customers about Running and Outdoor (Terrex, 5.10) products to assure brand awareness, product/service development, growth and profitability.
  • Calls on perspective and established customers in relation to their requirements and advise on new products on a consistent and thorough basis.
  • Provides input and recommendations on product requirements and needs.
  • Forecast sales by category on a seasonal basis.
  • Drive in-store activation and grass root events, provide product knowledge to key retail staff.
  • Constantly and proactively manage the open order book for the territory, identifying challenges and communicating to customers in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with customer service & supply chain departments to maximize sales and sell through by delivering orders on time and full.
  • Provides product presentations to customers, sales policies, selling points, credit terms, and the overall view of the company's product and services.
  • Stay updated on competitors' activities through review of field information and industry sources and reports such activities to manager and merchandising teams on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate and work closely with Brand Experience representative on territory support.

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of inside/outside sales experience or industry experience with Running Specialty and Outdoor related products (footwear and soft goods preferred)

  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $73,000-$95,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
  • At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The preferred working location of this position is Woodbridge, ON but open to someone sitting within a 1 hour drive to the Woodbridge office.
