Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION - SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Uncorked is one of the leading and growing beverage distributors in the state located in New Orleans, LA. We believe in conducting our business with the highest level of integrity and professionalism in the industry. We supply import and domestic wines, micro and imported beers, and specialty spirits. Our customers are both on and off-premise accounts.

JOB DUTIES

  • Management of a sales territory - calling on accounts in an existing territory
  • Ongoing sales efforts to increase sales on focus brands selected by the company
  • Regular service calls on each account - achieve sales goals on a monthly basis
  • Rapport-building with decision-makers and providing excellent customer service to customers
  • Correct and timely feedback of sales information utilizing Uncorked reporting methods
  • Monitoring accounts receivables as mandated by Uncorked policy and state law

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Progressive sales experience
  • Basic wine knowledge is highly desirable
  • College degree or equivalent experience is preferred or equivalent sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate decision makers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Louisiana driver's license, safe driving record
  • Ability to obtain LA State Solicitor’s Permit
  • Reliable transportation to service the sales territory
  • Proof of insurance on the vehicle is required
  • Residing within 15 miles of assigned territory is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Servicing accounts (8-10) daily, requiring driving and getting in and out of the vehicle
  • Must be able to walk, bend, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more
  • Building displays of product sold in store, cutting cases of product
  • Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, and occasional climbing is required

  • Dependent on experience
