Your Main Focus: 

Manhattan Beer & Beverage Distributors seeks a CDL A Yard Jockey to manage efficient truck movement and parking in our yard. This role supports our operations team by handling route relief and addressing on-the-road issues.  The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and flexible to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:

Move, stage, and park trucks and trailers safely and efficiently within the yard.
Perform routine yard inspections to ensure proper equipment placement.
Provide route relief for drivers unable to complete their deliveries.
Provide basic on-the-road support for truck breakdowns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections on vehicles as needed.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and DOT regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must possess a Valid NY CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Ability to engage in regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and climbing.  
The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Proven experience operating tractor-trailers and yard equipment.
Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repeatedly climbing in/out of trucks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to urgent issues quickly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as a yard jockey in a distribution environment.
Familiarity with beverage distribution operations.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced yard environment with moving trucks and heavy equipment.

Hourly Salary-29.00-30.00It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
