Sales Merchandiser

Field-Based | Retail Accounts | Beverage Distribution

Looking for an active, hands-on position where you can work independently while building relationships with local customers?

Mitchell Companies is hiring a Merchandiser to support our sales and delivery teams by ensuring products are stocked, rotated, and displayed according to company standards. This is a field-based position for someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys working with customers, and can stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver, rotate, stock, and display products at retail accounts
  • Merchandise products according to company standards and promotional plans
  • Install and maintain permanent and temporary point-of-sale (POS) materials
  • Support monthly team-selling initiatives
  • Build professional relationships with store owners and managers
  • Learn account layouts, products, and designated display areas
  • Respond to customer requests and escalate unresolved issues when needed
  • Provide route coverage when needed, including delivering products, collecting payments, rotating stock, and executing sales tickets
  • Assist with truck loading each morning
  • Maintain clean and organized POS rooms, work areas, and loading zones
  • Report equipment damage, product loss, or safety concerns to management
  • Handle and transport draft beer equipment and coolers when required

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Previous beverage distribution, merchandising, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of beverage rotation, inventory handling, and merchandising principles
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude

Schedule

Field-based position | Daily travel to retail accounts

The schedule may include early mornings, weekends, holidays, and special event coverage based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

This is an active merchandising and delivery support position. Employees routinely:

  • Lift, push, pull, or carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work in cold storage, outdoor environments, warehouses, and retail spaces
  • Safely handle product, equipment, and delivery materials
