We are a leading California fuel jobber seeking a driven Fuel Sales Representative to accelerate our expansion across commercial, agricultural, and government sectors. If you're energized by prospecting, closing deals, and building long-term customer relationships, this role offers the platform to grow your book of business and your earnings, with commission paid in addition to your base stipend.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prospecting, qualifying, and securing new customers for bulk gasoline and diesel delivery
• Managing the full sales cycle, including pricing, quoting, and closing deals
• Building long-term relationships with commercial, agricultural, and government clients
• Navigating and responding to RFP/RFQ processes
• Obtaining and reviewing customer credit applications
• Providing daily fuel pricing quotes and processing customer orders
• Assisting with the collection process
Requirements
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and relationship-driven, with a strong sales mindset.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in fuel, energy, or a related industry
• Experience selling to end users requiring truck and trailer fuel delivery
• Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Existing customer base or industry contacts within California
