Job description

WHOLESALE FUEL SALES REPRESANTATIVE – JOB DESCRIPTION


Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative Responsibilities:

The Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative will have the ultimate responsibility to grow gallons and customer retention by executing the sales business plan in support of the Mission and Vision Statements. The Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative will work with accounting, transportation, and management to develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers and outside agencies. The Wholesales Fuel Sales Representative will report directly to the Wholesale Fuels General Manager.


Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Keep sales pipeline full while managing opportunities through all stages of the business plan to achieve sales and margin targets; obtain and maintain customer details and documents and all relevant information on CRM
  • Assume accountability for individual site profitability and volume performance. Attain quantitative and qualitative performance with assigned territory; organize and execute annual client reviews
  • Identity opportunities through prospecting, customer relationship management and other external websites and resources, develop business plan and sales proposals; present proposals to potential and existing customers
  • Perform site surveys, assist with imaging projects and manage dealer support requests as needed; establish and execute capital improvement budgets for clients, relating to sales action items
  • Maintain documentation of sales activities, customer efficiency and related expenses; prepare and submit sales plans as required
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant customer issues, pricing and billing procedures and operational issues, various fuel supply contracts, as well as various brand value programs, image requirements and brand standards
  • Help with investigation and resolution of customer concerns
  • Maintain awareness of competitor’s sales efforts and programs with sales territory
  • Build and update account plans for key growth customers, ensure customers are meeting contract requirements and optimize the Company’s return of capital deployed
  • Counsel and provide support on customers on retailing factors including competitive pricing, customer service, retail facility appearance and cleanliness
  • Ensure details of new account and contract set up are in place including pricing, freight, taxes and invoice requirements
  • Through oversight and management of company approved contractors and vendors, assumes responsibility for developing, maintaining and delivering scope, schedule and budget of all assigned imaging and customer support projects


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong sales background with proven history of consistent sales growth and achievements
  • Business to business cold calling expertise
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized
  • Computer proficiency and software skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with a bias towards performance, delivery and action
  • Ability to work independently




  • Travel required as necessary to perform the job


Preferred Skills:

  • Fuel industry experience with knowledge of branded and unbranded programs and pricing relating to customer contracts
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) and Electronic Payment System (EPS functionality
  • Experience with CRM tools


Hours:

The Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative is a full-time position and works a minimum of 40 hours per week


Salary/Income:

The Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative is an exempt, salaried position
