Job Summary
The Manager of Strategic Fuel Sales will be a "working manager" and is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic fuel sales initiatives across the company's defined markets. This role drives revenue growth, expands market share, and develops high-value customer relationships within commercial fuel segments. The Manager of Strategic Fuel Sales oversees strategic account development, supports and mentors sales personnel, and collaborates with fuel supply, pricing, operations, and logistics teams to optimize fuel throughput and customer satisfaction. This position plays a key role in aligning sales strategies with company growth objectives and market opportunities.
What You Will Do...
Sales Strategy & Market Development
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic fuel sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue high-value fuel sales opportunities within targeted commercial markets.
  • Develop territory and account strategies focused on long-term customer acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and fuel pricing trends to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership and fuel supply teams to align sales strategies with supply capabilities and company objectives
Strategic Account Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key commercial fuel customers and high-volume strategic accounts.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, and service coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional fuel, lubricant, cardlock, or related services.
Sales Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Strategic Fuel Sales Representatives and other sales personnel.
  • Support the development of sales strategies, account planning, and pipeline management across the team.
  • Establish performance goals and monitor team performance against sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new sales personnel
Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with fuel supply, pricing, dispatch, and operations teams to maximize fuel throughput and delivery efficiency.
    • Work with marketing and leadership teams to support market expansion initiatives and strategic growth opportunities.
    • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to leadership to support pricing and supply strategies
Sales Reporting & Performance Management
    • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, territory plans, and pipeline reports.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
    • Utilize CRM and company systems to track sales activity, customer interactions, and business development opportunities.
