The Edgewater Hotel is looking for an energetic, friendly, service oriented individual to lead our team as Front Office Manager!
The shimmering city is behind you. Beautiful Elliott Bay is right at your feet. The Edgewater Hotel is Seattle's only luxury waterfront hotel, with dramatic views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and the downtown skyline, and a location right on Pier 67 at the city's dynamic doorstep. The Edgewater Hotel has been recognized in many prestigious industry publications and has been honored by some of the most elite hospitality and travel industry associations.
The Front Office Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Provide leadership to Assistant Front Office Managers, Front Desk, Guest Services Bell/Valet, Night Audit, PBX and Security Team.
  • Implementation, training and upholding of service standards.
  • Overseeing and participating in daily operations to ensure a successful guest experience with attention to details for special requests and VIPs.
  • Monitor and develop associate performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, training, counseling/formal coaching, delivering recognition and reward.
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction scores and trends, evaluate and address issues to make improvements accordingly.
  • Professional contact with all other hotel departments such as Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Engineering etc. as it is crucial to ensure that hotel services are coordinated to provide the best in guest and associate satisfaction.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency of the English language.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to organize, delegate & work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and the Internet.
  • A flexible schedule is required and with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in overseeing associates under a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Previous experience with Infor HMS is a plus

Salary: $90,000/year

2+ years experience in Front Office Management or 3+ years experience as a Department Manager/Supervisory role, preferably in a luxury property.
