Job description

Wentworth by the Sea is looking for a motivated and organized candidate for the position of Front Desk Supervisor. The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for making lasting first impressions, by welcoming our guests and setting the tone for their stay. Undertaking various procedural and administrative duties, and the ability to deal with and diffuse conflict or tension are critical aspects of the Front Desk Supervisor role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting guests upon arrival and making them feel welcome
  • Recognizing repeat, VIP status and/or loyalty
  • Administering check-ins and check-outs
  • Leading the front desk team:  Training, coaching, assigning duties/delegating, etc. 
  • Providing front desk services to guests
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficiency and an outstanding guest experience
  • Assigning rooms and taking care of administrative duties
  • Delivering mail and messages
  • Processing guest payments
  • Coordinating with bell service and staff management
  • Being a source of information to guests on various matters such as transport and restaurant advice
  • Accommodating general and unique requests

Successful Front Desk Supervisor candidates should possess previous customer service experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills, experience resolving conflicts, as well as patience and the ability to listen well.
