Job description

Th Role:
As a Sr. Systems Engineer (MBSE) , you are in an experienced position that may include traditional systems engineering functions, human systems integration (HSI), and/or model-based systems engineering (MBSE) scope. In this position you will play a significant role
in the application of MTI's user-centered research, analysis, design, and development process. You will work independently and as
part of a team as you lead tasks, support junior engineers, and create highly-effective solutions for complex, critical missions.
Security Clearance Required
  • Due to federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. persons and eligible for a U/S. security clearance

Your Responsibilitiies
  • Lead identification, evaluation, decomposition, and traceability of stakeholder requirements, program requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Lead development, analysis, and documentation of system architecture and interfaces, particularly as related to user interface components and system functionality that supports user effectiveness.
  • Lead trade studies, course of action analyses, and other technical decisions.
  • Support creation and implementation of systems engineering practices.
  • Take an active, expert role in technical meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of compliant and user-centric solutions that effectively meet mission needs.
  • Lead creation of descriptive models, analytical models, and simulations of systems using model-based systems engineering and digital engineering tools and practices.
  • Lead integration of HSI domains with each other, with other system considerations, and throughout the project.
  • Lead the development of quality, effective systems engineering documentation. Actively engage in knowledge sharing and skill development within the team while building a rapport and collaborative working relationship with coworkers.

Your Qualifications:
  • Due to federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. persons and eligible for a U/S. security clearance
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • An advanced degree in SE or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience generally required.
  • A commitment to understanding and advocating for the needs and preferences of end users across a program.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex human factors findings and recommendations articulately to a wide range of audiences.
  • Developing leadership and mentorship skills; ability to cultivate a culture of user-centric design and knowledge sharing.
