Position: Enterprise Network Engineering & Support
Location: South-East Region in Wisconsin (Hybrid Onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Duration : 12+ Months
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Enterprise Network Engineering & Support professional to join our team. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing enterprise network infrastructure across a large-scale environment while collaborating with global and cross-functional teams.
Key Highlights:
Participation in an on-call rotation with a team of 4 engineers
Daily queue support shared among 4 engineers
Hybrid work model with onsite presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Strong English communication skills are required
Preferred Technical Experience:
Experience with the following technologies is highly preferred:
Juniper / HPE Layer 3 Routing & Switching
Aruba Wireless
Palo Alto Firewalls
HPE SD-WAN (nice to have)
Candidates with strong experience in similar networking technologies will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for enterprise network platforms including routing, switching, wireless, and firewall technologies
Support enterprise wireless environments through monitoring, configuration, performance optimization, and analytics
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and connectivity issues
Assist with network design improvements and implementation aligned with security and architecture standards
Develop and execute test plans for network changes and deployments
Provide SD-WAN support including routing policies, connectivity, and monitoring as needed
Hardware Lifecycle Management:
Manage lifecycle activities for network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN devices
Coordinate hardware refreshes, upgrades, deployments, and decommissioning activities across multiple locations
Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle documentation
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and field teams to ensure smooth implementation
Platform & Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, automation, operational efficiency, and documentation
Stay updated on emerging technologies, networking trends, and industry best practices
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with global and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Build strong working relationships across IT and business teams
Documentation & Governance:
Create and maintain network diagrams, standards documentation, lifecycle plans, and troubleshooting guides
Support change management and configuration management processes
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless, and firewalls
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments
Solid understanding of network security principles and segmentation
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and Root Cause Analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with change management practices
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and global teams
Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation-driven or template-based network management platforms
Experience working in multi-vendor network environments
Knowledge of structured hardware lifecycle management and asset tracking
Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices
