Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer responsible for strategizing, designing, and assessing computer network systems and services, encompassing local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet. This role involves providing analytical, technical, and administrative support, as well as overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of network policies and procedures to ensure network integrity and support modification projects for existing applications.

The mission of the MSTP is to train and educate Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) and Marine Expeditionary Brigades (MEB) Command Elements to conduct operations across a broad spectrum of military scenarios, within the framework of Joint, Combined, or Coalition environments.


Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and evaluate new and existing computer network systems.
  • Provide analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations.
  • Develop and implement network policies and procedures.
  • Oversee maintenance and modification projects for existing applications.
  • Ensure network integrity and security protocols are maintained.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of related Networking experience.
  • Security Clearance.
  • CCNA required.
  • Experience in CISCO (WAN/LAN).
  • Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and eligible for IAT Level II access.
  • Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, SIP).
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot TACLANES (FIREFLY, PPK, SDD).
  • Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Experience with 802.1X and zero trust environments.
  • Knowledge of voice over internet protocol devices and services.
  • Ability to maintain current applicable firewall (Palo Alto) and proxy appliance security policies.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with SSL inspections, IPS, IDS, Malware and URL filtering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • MEF level operational military experience in communications

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Mid-Level – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ 3+ Years Direct Relevant Experience
  • Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Travel

15-25%, mainly to Camp Pendleton, CA; Camp Lejeune, NC; Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan
