STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India. We are seeking a Senior Staff Network Engineer, Broadcast to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance, reliable, and scalable IP network infrastructure supporting real-time operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IP networking, automation, routing, and modern infrastructure design in complex, high-availability environments.

This person will work closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to support reliable and scalable network services. Network Automation - strong hands-on experience with automation and configuration management, including Ansible and Python BGP Expertise - deep experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing BGP in complex, high-availability environments Arista Technologies / AVD - hands-on experience with Arista platforms, including CloudVision and Arista Validated Design (AVD) Location & Work Type Location: New York, NY Work Type: Hybrid, 3+ days onsite per week Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain IP-based networks supporting real-time workflows Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to develop low-latency, resilient, and scalable network solutions Evaluate and optimize network architecture for scalability, performance, and routing efficiency Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and IP transport issues Partner with internal teams and external vendors to integrate new networking and orchestration technologies Implement and manage network automation and configuration management solutions, with a strong emphasis on Ansible, Python, and AVD Design, implement, and support BGP-based network routing architectures in high-availability environments Perform capacity planning, multicast management, and QoS optimization Maintain system resilience and uptime through proactive monitoring, failover validation, and firmware lifecycle management Create and maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration details, and change records Communicate technical updates and priorities to relevant stakeholders Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance Provide technical support and collaborate across teams as needed Qualifications Required: Minimum 10 years of experience designing and supporting large-scale, mission-critical IP networks Strong understanding of broadcast and media transport over IP environments Hands-on experience with Arista switching platforms and modern data center network architectures Strong network automation experience, including Ansible, Python, and infrastructure-as-code/configuration management Deep expertise in BGP, including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization in complex enterprise or broadcast environments Hands-on experience with Arista CloudVision and Arista Validated Design (AVD) Deep knowledge of multicast routing, QoS, and synchronization technologies Experience with spine-leaf architectures, SDN, and VXLAN/EVPN-based designs Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including experience with tools such as Wireshark Strong communication and collaboration skills Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders Benefits Medical coverage and Health Savings Account (HSA) through Anthem Dental/Vision/Various Ancillary coverages through Unum 401(k) retirement savings plan Paid-time-off options Company-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Discount programs through ADP WorkforceNow Additional Details The base salary range for this position is $200K - $220K annually, depending on experience.
