Job Title: Cisco Network Engineer / Network Support Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN / Chicago Avenue South Minneapolis, MN / St Paul, MN

Candidates need to be day 1 onsite from above any 1 location

Role Summary

The Cisco Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise network infrastructure. The role includes managing Cisco routing and switching environments, wireless networks, firewalls, load balancers, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Support

  • Monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Ensure availability and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center networks.
  • Perform software upgrades, patching, and configuration backups.
  • Support 24x7 operations and critical incident resolution.

Network Administration

  • Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
  • Manage VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, ACLs, VRFs, and routing protocols.
  • Implement network changes and maintain network documentation.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management

  • Diagnose network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Resolve incidents within SLA targets.
  • Perform root cause analysis and prepare technical reports.
  • Escalate complex issues when required.
  • Support network expansion, migration, and transformation projects.
  • Implement routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and load-balancer solutions.
  • Participate in network capacity planning and performance optimization.
