The ONE Edge team delivers software-defined, automated, and scalable edge network infrastructure that improves the reliability of Amazon's global fulfillment and operations network. Our solutions are relied upon by hundreds of thousands of associates and play a critical role in delivering shipments to Amazon's customers worldwide.
As a Network Development Engineer II on the Edge team, you will design and implement scalable, resilient edge network architecture. You will lead initiatives that improve network capacity, availability, and security, working with modern SD-WAN and cloud networking technologies

You will design solutions that are scalable, testable, maintainable, and efficient, with information security and network reliability as fundamentals.
You will work autonomously on major portions of edge network implementation, making pragmatic trade-offs that balance operational needs with long-term goals. You will partner with software, operations, and engineering teams to turn ideas into plans, participate in design and operational reviews, and mentor fellow engineers. You will also leverage automation and modern tooling to improve operational efficiency and diagnostics.

Key job responsibilities
- Identifying, developing, and delivering technical solutions that improve the availability of our network technologies.
- Partner with peer teams to collectively grasp the customer problems and find technological solutions utilizing wired networking technologies.
- Define and meter the availability of our existing and future network solutions, ensuring they meet or exceed the needs of our customers.
- Identify and deliver solutions that reduce operational impact to customers and enable them with scalable, resilient, and cost optimized services.
- Dive Deep on complex problems that identify root causes of our customer impacts, developing and delivering corrective actions.
- Innovate and automate infrastructure testing, deployment, operations, and life-cycle management
- Defining the strategy for future team processes, tools, and , which improve how we maintain and manage them effectively, efficiently, and safely.
- Be a part of Global organization that provides 24x7 escalation service on shift rotation basis. Some night and weekend coverage may be required.
