Job description

We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of a large-scale enterprise network environment. This role will work across data center, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud-connectivity, and network-modernization initiatives supporting distributed locations and corporate infrastructure. Responsibilities include configuring and supporting Cisco Nexus 9K environments, BGP routing, VXLAN fabrics, spine-leaf architectures, and underlay/overlay topologies. The engineer will help maintain connectivity between stores, distribution centers, data centers, cloud environments, and the organization’s evolving Equinix backbone. This is a hands-on engineering role that includes occasional after-hours maintenance, limited travel, and participation in an on-call rotation after onboarding.
Must Haves
  • 5+ yrs. of Networking experience (Senior-Level, Enterprise, etc., 7+ yrs. preferred)
  • Expert-level routing/switching. BGP and dynamic routing are hard requirements.
  • Cisco (specifically Nexus 9k) is heavily preferred; Arista, Juniper, Aruba, and Palo Alto are acceptable substitutes
  • VXLAN deployment experience—ideally designing and deploying the fabric, not only supporting an existing implementation
  • Strong understanding of spine-leaf architecture and underlay/overlay network topologies
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting large-scale WAN and multisite connectivity supporting stores, distribution centers, campuses, or other distributed locations
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity (GCP Preferred), including cloud routers, virtual networks/VPCs, routing, and connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, respond to PagerDuty escalations, and support occasional after-hours cutovers or maintenance
Nice to Haves
  • CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Routing and Switching, or equivalent certification
  • Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, or Postman
  • Equinix Fabric, Network Edge, or virtual-backbone experience
  • Fortinet/FortiGate experience, including SD-WAN, switching, centralized policy management, or Fortinet certifications
  • Experience supporting low-latency, high-traffic retail or omnichannel environments
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical directions to network engineers, particularly during complex troubleshooting and implementation work
  • Prior team-lead or supervisory experience, ideally 1–3 years directing engineers or technical resources
