Job description

Salary:

Sigma Information Group is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to become an
integral member of our Engineering team to help mature our processes and bring new ideas
to the team. This team is responsible for network design, installations, management,
optimization, security, and support for our clients.


Responsibilities:
Implement software (ZTNA, monitoring, automation) and hardware (switches,
routers, firewalls, and WAPs) based solutions related to network and network
security.
Work with consultants to develop and implement new solutions to meet client
business requirements.
Multi-site design and buildouts with disaster recovery planning in mind.
Multi-site WAN/SDWAN design, implementation, and support.
Network design, implementation, and support of Azure environments.
Design and manage the rollout of various network infrastructures with necessary
capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration optimization.
Perform on-site hardware installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Perform network maintenance and upgrades.
Use network tools for administration, maintenance, automation, and visualization
reporting.
Develop technical documentation describing the deployment, configuration, and
management of network infrastructure.
Participate in IT security audits and ensure required controls are implemented.

Required Qualifications:
CCNP or equivalent certification
5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data and
converged network infrastructure, including the following: 802.1x, Routing Protocols
including OSPF, EIGRP and BGP, STP/RSTP, VTP, ACL/VACLs, Wireless Technologies,
Network Load Balancers, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Firewalls, Web
Application Firewalls, and other network related technologies in support of a
corporate network.

Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, basic BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN.
Experience with Datacenter virtualization technologies. (VMWare/Hyper-V)
Experience with Azure network/infrastructure technologies.
Experience with design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco and Meraki
switches.
Experience with design, configuration, and deployment of Palo Alto and Fortinet
firewalls.
Experience with design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti,
and Ruckus wireless technologies.
Proven ability in network capacity and performance planning and monitoring.
Strong troubleshooting ability for end-user device connectivity issues.
In-depth knowledge of QoS and traffic shaping.
Knowledge of 802.1X.
Proven ability to analyze and solve network issues.
Possess excellent communication and client service skills, both written and oral,
including a proven ability to create detailed technical documentation.
Possess strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot
problems.
