Network Engineer (Cisco / Palo Alto) Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both networking and security, with a strong foundation in Cisco environments and Palo Alto firewalls. Youโ€™ll play a key role in maintaining uptime, securing systems, and supporting ongoing infrastructure improvements across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN) Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless solutions Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls , including policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability Support SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, and remote access solutions Partner with security teams to enforce network security best practices Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of network devices Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple sites Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP) Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama is a plus) Solid understanding of network security principles and protocols Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Cisco certifications ( CCNA, CCNP ) Palo Alto certifications ( PCNSA, PCNSE ) Experience with cloud networking (Azure or AWS) Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python) Experience in multi-site or enterprise environments What Youโ€™ll Get Collaborative team environment with strong culture Opportunity to work across both networking and security Hands-on role with direct impact on infrastructureBy submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
