Overview
Starting Pay: $24-29/hr plus incentive pay that averages an additional $8,000-10,000/year
The global leader in automotive equipment, Snap-on Equipment, has an immediate opening for an Automotive Equipment Technician. The Automotive Equipment Technician is responsible for overall service call completion within the territory. The Automotive Equipment Technician is also responsible for assisting in problem-solving, equipment installation, and repair. Additional responsibilities are below. Serviceable equipment includes:
Wheel Aligners
Wheel Balancers
Tire Changers
Alignment Lifts
Automotive/ General Purpose Lifts
Specialty Lifts
Brake Lathes
Collision Repair Equipment
A/C Units
Responsibilities
  • Ability to follow Snap-on's Safety priorities and maintain a safe working environment through awareness and focus.
  • Ability to use Rapid Continuous Improvement in day-to-day activities to increase organizational capacity.
  • Repair, maintain, and install equipment in assigned territory and follow clearly established standards for repair response time, prioritization, and customer communications.
  • Assists Associate FST and FST employees with complex customer problems.
  • Responsible for call completion and closure for all customers assigned.
  • Manage customers' equipment needs during and after warranty periods.
  • Resolves customer problems and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Sells contracts, updates/upgrades, and parts in the assigned territory.
  • Calls on the customer prior to the warranty or contract termination date.
  • Makes cold calls to pursue the sale of service contracts.
  • Ability to resolve customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Schedules regular site visits with customers to provide timely, accurate equipment service.
  • Administrative duties such as obtaining onsite customer signatures, inventory management, and fleet management.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field, military training, or equivalent with 1-5 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and strong mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of PC Hardware repair.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of products serviced by Snap-on Equipment, as well as internal procedures.
  • Ability to lift 45lbs and work in an environment where frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and sitting while driving is required.
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess the ability to work from home and be a self-starter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Daily travel required (occasional overnight stays)
