Job description

Lead Specialist, Sales

(French Markets)

The Role

Are you excited by the challenge of building new markets, creating strategic partnerships, and closing high-impact enterprise deals?

As our Strategic Partner Sales Lead, you'll play a critical role in expanding Pearson's presence across French-speaking markets. You'll work with some of the world's largest consulting firms, technology partners, enterprises, and government organizations to help solve workforce transformation and skills challenges. This is a unique opportunity to build pipeline, shape go-to-market strategies and influence multi-million-euro opportunities in a fast-growing business area.

Joining a relatively new and rapidly expanding Global Enterprise Sales team, you'll have the opportunity to help establish Pearson as the trusted workforce development and skills partner across the region while creating meaningful impact for organizations and learners alike.

What You'll Own
Success in this role means building a strong pipeline of opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across French-speaking markets.

You will:

  • Create and execute market growth strategies across French-speaking regions in Europe and, where appropriate, Africa.
  • Develop and grow relationships with strategic partners including consulting firms, technology providers, and enterprise organizations to generate new business opportunities.
  • Own complex enterprise sales opportunities from discovery through contract negotiation and close.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline while achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal experts to design integrated workforce development, skills, assessment, and learning solutions for customers.
  • Influence go-to-market strategies and help establish Pearson's long-term growth across the region.

About You

You bring significant enterprise sales experience and a proven ability to build trusted relationships, navigate complex sales environments, and consistently deliver results. You're equally comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities, and driving deals to completion.

You will likely have:

  • Fluency in both French and English, with additional European language skills considered a plus.
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, HR technology, workforce solutions, learning technology, or other consultative technology-driven sales environments.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million revenue quotas and delivering measurable business growth.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients, consulting organizations, strategic alliances, or partner ecosystems.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance customer outcomes with business objectives.

Aligned to Pearson's Essential Behaviours, you are someone who:

  • Thinks strategically and acts with purpose.
  • Builds trusted partnerships and collaborates effectively across teams.
  • Embraces learning, innovation, and the use of AI-enabled tools to improve outcomes.
  • Raises the performance bar and takes ownership of delivering results.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, international, and growth-focused environment.

What You'll Get
This is an opportunity to join a growing international team at a pivotal stage of expansion and help shape Pearson's enterprise presence across new markets.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with global enterprises, governments, and leading consulting and technology partners.
  • Influence high-profile workforce transformation and skills initiatives.
  • Develop expertise across learning, workforce planning, talent development, and digital credentialing solutions.
  • Expand your international network while working across multiple European markets.
  • Play a key role in building a business area that is central to Pearson's future growth strategy.

Location

Flexible across approved EMEA locations including Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, or Romania.

Travel: Regular travel across EMEA markets is expected.

Ready to Make an Impact?

Apply now and help shape the future of workforce development, skills transformation, and enterprise learning across French-speaking markets.
