Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager with a strong background in NVOCC and freight forwarding operations. This role will oversee daily import and export operations (air and ocean), ensure operational efficiency, maintain compliance, and lead a high-performing operations team.

The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in CargoWise, bilingual in Spanish, and experienced in managing both operational workflows and office administration within a logistics environment.


Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee full-cycle import and export operations (Air & Ocean)
  • Manage NVOCC documentation including HBL, MBL, AMS, ISF, AES filings
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and international trade requirements
  • Monitor shipment milestones, carrier performance, and service levels
  • Resolve operational issues proactively and maintain strong client satisfaction
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouse partners


Leadership & Office Management

  • Supervise and mentor operations staff
  • Establish and improve SOPs to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with Sales and Accounting departments for smooth workflow
  • Oversee KPI tracking and operational reporting


System & Process Control

  • Utilize CargoWise for shipment processing, billing coordination, tracking, and reporting
  • Maintain accurate shipment data and documentation
  • Optimize system usage to improve operational performance


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding / NVOCC operations
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong working knowledge of import/export regulations (Air & Ocean)
  • Proficiency in CargoWise system (required)
  • Experience handling full documentation cycle
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish (required)
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience managing both operations and office administration
  • Strong understanding of compliance and risk management (Bonded cargo, TSA requirements)
  • Established network with carriers and overseas agents
