Job Summary
The Logistics Agent plays a key role in the growth and daily operations of Cornerstone Trucking, LLC. You will generate new business opportunities, negotiate rates, and manage shipment logistics while ensuring exceptional service and smooth communication among customers, carriers, dispatch, and drivers. Success in this role requires persistence, attention to detail, and a goal-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities 
  • Prospect and secure new freight customers through cold calling, networking, and relationship building
  • Negotiate rates with shippers and carriers to ensure profitability
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with customers, dispatch, and drivers
  • Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers throughout the delivery process
  • Maintain accurate records of loads, billing, rate confirmations, and customer interactions
  • Resolve delivery issues or delays quickly and professionally
  • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize freight efficiency
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales and performance targets
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or the trucking industry (preferred but not required)
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
