CXI Trucking - Melrose Park, IL
Position: Part-Time Evening Office/Billing Clerk
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM (hours may vary)
Pay: $20.50/hour
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of billing/auditing experience
  • Knowledge of freight billing practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective time management and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in answering phones, routing calls, and handling emails
  • Familiarity with office equipment (copy/fax machines, computers, email systems)
Responsibilities:
  • Check in drivers and verify accuracy of Bills of Lading (BOL) and Proof of Delivery (POD)
  • Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and respond to emails
  • Review BOLs for partner carriers and distribute to billing clerk
  • Ensure all PODs are accounted for by matching with driver manifests
  • Process COD shipments, including handling checks and cash
  • Enter carrier information into Cheetah Service Desk
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Dock Supervisors
  • Collect end-of-month mileage sheets from drivers and issue new ones
  • Scan and index BOLs and PODs
  • Perform other office duties as directed by management
