About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified NICU RN in Frankfort, Kentucky, 40601!

Job Title

Travel RN – NICU (Night Shift)

Location

Frankfort, Kentucky

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients in a 4–8 bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of typically 3:1 or less depending on acuity and census
  • Perform IV starts, lab draws, and medication administration
  • Maintain UVC/UAC lines and assist providers with intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, and circumcision
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and operate specialized equipment including Alaris pumps, Medfusion pumps, giraffe beds, panda warmers, traditional ventilators, and phototherapy lights
  • Document patient care accurately using Centricity Perinatal and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience in a hospital setting
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Kentucky required at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • STABLE certification
  • Experience as part of a delivery team
