Job description

For one of our clients in the Pharma industry, we're looking for a freelance Project Manager - Strategic Quality Projects:
Purpose of the Role:
The client is initiating and driving selected strategic projects in the quality area via the Global Quality Digital transformation unit which focuses onfocuses on taking over smaller, high-impact projects that prepare management decisions, define standard systems and ways of working, and enable effective execution across Quality functions.
Detailed Task Description:
The external contractor will receive from the client all required system access, templates, contact lists, requirements, documents and any other required information to carry out the work in advance and for the duration of the services.
The contractor receives only limited access to the systems in advance for the project period, just enough to enable them to provide their services independently
The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external contractor and are based on existing expertisein project management:
  1. Strategic Project Initiation & Delivery
  • Structuring ofproblem statements, objectives, scope, governance, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Creationofdecision papers, management recommendations, and implementation options for strategic topics such as standard system selection.
  • Review ofproject governanceto check that the goals are on track withbusiness, Quality, IT, and relevant globalstakeholders' goals.
  • Creation of a comprehensive review document.
  1. Quality Stakeholder Management & Decision Preparation
  • Schedule and moderatediscussions with senior management, Quality leadership, Quality colleagues, and subject matter expertsvia Project meetings.
  • Translation ofcomplex Quality, laboratory, technical, and compliance requirements into clear decision options and actionable project outcomesdocument.
  • Extraction ofrequirements fromacase description tobe able to make an informeddecision forafittingstandard computer system.
  • Creation of document to Determinescalable operating models across Quality.
  1. Deliverables:Creation of comprehensive documentation with all results regarding the above mentioned tasks with subsequent handover to (client) for review and approval for further usage.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong project management experience inpharmaceutical Quality, Quality Control, laboratory, technical operations, or regulated business environments.
  • Experience withcross-functional and international projects, ideally including decision preparation, standardization, system selection, or process harmonization topics.
  • Good understanding ofQuality processes; knowledge of QC laboratory processes, Lab Planning & Scheduling (digital scheduling tools for laboratory capacity) or QA processes is an advantage.
  • Familiarity withvalidated systems, GxP principles, and regulated system landscapes.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous topics, develop options, and prepare decision-ready recommendations for management.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills across management and operational Quality teams.
  • Representing Global Digital Quality as bridge function between digitalization and operations.
  • Independent, structured, and proactive working style with the ability to create clarity in early-stage strategic topics.
  • Confident and credible in discussions with management, Quality leadership, Quality colleagues, and technical experts.
  • Suitable for anembedded external/contractor rolesupporting strategic Quality projects and decision preparation.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to move topics forward independently while ensuring alignment with relevant stakeholders.
