WHO YOU ARE:


The Chart Retrieval Specialist performs a wide variety of tasks within several Electronic Health Record systems. Also, will track, abstract, and organize member health records through fax campaigns and provider office visits for the purposes of Risk Adjustment audit season(s).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in consolidating data from EMR locations and provider offices. Collects important patient information from current patient medical record.
  • Navigates the electronic medical record systems and other medical databases
  • Manage provider group projects assigned via fax campaigns, office visits, and/or EMR utilization. 
  • Responsible for maintaining weekly and daily goals given by supervisor for abstraction projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma.
  • One (1) year Data Entry experience. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Hospital or clinical experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to manage working relationships
  • Computer literate and familiarity with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel)
  • Basic electronic health record knowledge and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Must have valid Oklahoma drivers license and able to drive a car. 
  • Must be confident and tolerant while working with difficult people.
  • Ability to organize tasks and projects to complete timely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Current work environment is remote; however, some state exclusions apply.

Must have access to a reliable and secured internet connection source. Work environment must maintain confidentiality of business information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), as required by HIPAA and company policy. This position will also be required to use reasonable and necessary safeguards to protect GlobalHealth records from unauthorized access, disclosure or damage and will adhere to all GlobalHealth privacy and security policies.
 

TRAVEL:

10-15% travel required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
