University - Summer 27, Cybersecurity Analyst Intern

The Opportunity:

Contribute to the evolving field of cybersecurity and help organizations stay ahead of emerging threats. As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to research, analyze, and address real-world security challenges, vulnerabilities, and risks. You'll gain hands-on experience applying cybersecurity concepts to realistic scenarios, analyzing technical data, documenting findings, and communicating recommendations to technical and business audiences. You'll collaborate with teammates to develop solutions that strengthen security for clients across industries.

Our program features cybersecurity challenges inspired by real-world events and evolving threats, including securing critical infrastructure, investigating incidents, and analyzing emerging risks. These experiences are designed to build the technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills needed to defend against cyber adversaries.

You may take on roles such as Security Analyst, Incident Responder, Threat Intelligence Analyst, or Data Analyst, each offering a different perspective on how security teams identify risks, investigate threats, and develop solutions. You'll apply what you've learned through coursework, labs, competitions, and personal projects to solve cybersecurity problems, while strengthening your technical and communication skills in real-world client environments. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

  • Experience conducting basic cybersecurity research, analysis, or technical problem-solving through coursework, projects, labs, competitions, internships, or personal projects
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Experience using a scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Perl, R, or Bash, through coursework, assignments, or personal projects
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and research and propose potential solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to review, write, and discuss technical information and documentation
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree between Winter 2027 and Spring 2029

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cybersecurity analysis, security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or cybersecurity disciplines
  • Experience analyzing cybersecurity, network, system, or other technical data
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security principles, and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools or technologies used for network analysis, vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, or security monitoring
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems involving rapidly changing technologies and cybersecurity threats
  • Ability to capture and communicate business and technical concepts, challenges, findings, and solutions
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
