Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Franchise Business Consultant position is responsible for working with HomeWell franchise partners on our brand standards and best practices to grow their business. This position is pivotal in helping our franchise partners succeed through performance management and continual coaching to organizational goals. The Franchise Business Consultant will work closely with each franchise partner through leadership, influence, and functional expertise to create meaningful, productive business relationships that allow for owners to meet or exceed corporate budgeted revenue and royalty initiatives. The Franchise Business Consultant will provide advice, counsel, coaching, and assistance to impact and improve the sales, profits, market share and operating standards of each franchise partnerโ€™s business. The goal is to achieve the status of a trusted advisor to franchisor owners and agency teams and to facilitate continuous improvement action planning to help generate incremental top-line revenue and client and employee satisfaction. The Franchise Business Consultant is instrumental in serving as the โ€œeyes and earsโ€ of the franchise system and acting as an advisor and conduit of information between the franchise partners and corporate team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Be knowledgeable and able to evaluate and assist franchisees in the following key business areas:

  • Financial Analysis, including:
    1. Operating guidelines
    2. Profit and loss analysis
  • Sales & Operations Performance Management, including:
    1. Coaching and promoting to franchise partners the resources and tools offered by corporate
    2. Informing best practices in caregiver recruitment and retention
    3. Overall operational excellence to lead to greater profitability
  • Franchise Partner Relationship Management, including:
    1. Being the brand ambassador and brand champion to all franchise partners
    2. Acting as the conduit of information between franchise partners and corporate
    3. Sharing best practices through various communication channels, including support calls and on-site visits

Key performance activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring franchise partners are compliant with brand standards.
  • Responding to franchisee requests and questions within a timely manner.
  • Helping each franchise partner develop, follow, and monitor an annual Business Plan including, sales & marketing, financial goals, and action plans.
  • Performing site visits with identified franchise partners to provide overall support and quality assurance, including ensuring effective utilization of the Clear Care platform, taking part in an intake/scheduler, sitting in on orientation and caregiver interviews, ensuring personnel files and client files are compliant, ensuring correct collateral and marketing is being utilized and offering feedback/opportunity to improve processes and practices.
  • Consulting with other departments to identify additional support, resources and training needs to improve gaps in agency operations.
  • Fully understand the purpose and benefits of consumer brand programs and education initiatives, general company strategic direction, vendor partnerships, training and education programs, tools and resources to effectively influence franchisees and obtain requisite adoption.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of virtual and on-site consultation and support.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Requires minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in home care or healthcare industry
  • Extensive operational and/or sales support
  • Understanding of P&L statements, budgeting and controllable costs
  • Strong consulting, training and persuasion skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability, desire and enjoyment to work in a cooperative, professional and friendly manner.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to balance multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Thrive on exceeding goals and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL DEMANDS: This is a primarily sedentary position.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Full-Time; 40-hours a week

TRAVEL: 50% or more
