Job description

The Field Services Foreman will be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of the CoreWorks field services initiatives. They will work integrally with all areas of the company including – sales, engineering, manufacturing engineers/consultants, quality, and accounting. The Field Services Supervisor will participate in developing production schedules and budgets for operating expenses and capital equipment purchases. The successful candidate must have the ability to develop, document, and implement appropriate work processes and procedures required to support and grow the field services operation. In addition to the responsibilities defined above, the candidate will develop our field services offering, capabilities and workforce.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Manage all Field activities to ensure products are safely manufactured in accordance with the appropriate design code, fabrication drawings, manufacturing procedures, and customer specifications.

·         Manage the personnel and provide feedback to develop and motivate employees as well as resolve any issues requiring corrections or discipline. 

·         Read and understand project technical specifications, fabrication drawings, and production package documents.

·         Assesses the need for new or additional equipment. Participates in developing specifications, procurement, implementation, and installation of equipment.

·         Create work sequences for various projects and products. Produce the required shop travelers, inspection and testing plans, weld book details, and other job specific documentation.

·         Effectively communicate and interface with colleagues (sales, engineering, accounting, and quality departments) in support of daily activities and growth.

·         Effectively communicate with customers – participate in customer meetings at the facility, respond to customer inquiries related to production or operations topics and coordinate inspection visits with customers and/or 3rd party inspectors as required.

·         Assist sales and engineering with the development of overall project schedules. Plan and sequence production tasks and manpower to complete the projects on time and under budget. 

·         Maintain and update documents ensuring proper documentation has been received and retained in accordance with our quality system and work processes.

·         Develop and review KPIs for work performed.

·         Reviews employee time sheets on regular basis to ensure the information is logged accurately to jobs and tasks and follows company policy.

·         Develop the Coreworks field services offering for products and services. This includes assessing, growing, and developing our current capabilities, equipment, and workforce to perform these types of duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Field Service and/or operations of a welding and fabrication facility to ASME VIII Code. 

·         Strong technical, business/operations, and management acumen desired.

·         Working knowledge of the requirements of ASME VIII, Div. 1 pressure vessel code and ASME quality programs as applicable to welded pressure vessels and piping systems.

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Must be organized, have strong attention to detail and a drive to complete tasks on time.

·         Strong computer skills with proficiency using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project (preferred).

·         Possess a valid driver’s license.

CoreWorks has an experienced team specializing in the engineering, design, fabrication, installation and service of brazed aluminum heat exchangers (BAHXs), cold boxes, process skids and plate fin kettles (PFK). We are a full-service, custom equipment fabricator with capability to design and fabricate to ASME Section VIII pressure vessel, ASME B31.3/B31.12 process piping, and a variety of other national and international pressure vessel and construction codes. We supply custom designed, BAHX, piping systems, cold boxes, and process skids for liquified natural gas (LNG), natural gas processing (NGP), renewable natural gas/landfill gas (LFG), and other hydrocarbon applications. CoreWorks has an experienced field service team that can provide consulting, inspection and troubleshooting of our client’s existing equipment. Our team can perform repairs, alterations, testing and cleaning in accordance with ASME Section VIII and National Board Inspection Code (NBIC). CoreWorks holds ASME U and R stamps and is registered with the National Board (NB).
