Job Description:
This is an HR Specialist role supporting a well-established organization in Ainsworth, Nebraska. This position will work closely with the HR Leadership to provide day-to-day human resources support to employees, managers, and candidates.
The HR Specialist will assist with employee relations, policy interpretation, recruitment support, onboarding, leave administration, employee documentation, and general HR inquiries. This role also requires strong bilingual English/Spanish communication skills to support interpretation, translation, and employee communication needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR support to employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and general questions
  • Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, investigations, and policy interpretation
  • Support leave administration, including employee communication, certifications, and return-to-work requirements
  • Partner with managers on staffing needs, interviews, pre-employment steps, and onboarding
  • Maintain employee records through scanning, filing, documentation, and record retention
  • Support foreign worker visa program administration, including TN, H2A, and PERM processes
  • Coordinate visa-related documentation, approvals, renewals, invoice reconciliation, and repayment plans
  • Interpret for Spanish-speaking employees and translate company documents, recordings, and communications as needed
  • Represent the company at recruitment and employee events, including local travel between work locations
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations preferred
  • Experience with TN, H2A, PERM, or other foreign worker visa programs preferred, but not required
