Job description

Position purpose: Provide skilled Mechanic type functions company-wide, ensuring proper and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery and motorized vehicles.

Fabricate parts using machine shop instruments and machinery.

Operate heavy equipment as needed.

Maintain equipment, parts and supply inventories.

Perform company-wide inspections as required.

Maintain service logs in compliance with procedures, rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

(minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)

Must be able to read and follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturing instructions, and engineering specifications.

Mechanical aptitude.

Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard.

Special Position Requirements: (Any hazard, risk, security issue or related special conditions which apply to the position, i.e. chemicals used, equipment

used, cash handling, etc.)

Must be able to safely operate motorized vehicles (company truck, golf cart), large power tools and small power tools. Exposed to

loud work environments. Physical and inhalation exposure to hazardous such as paint, oils, cleaners and other chemicals.
