FOREIGN EXCHANGE SPECIALIST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
City National Bank is looking for a Back Office Operations Specialist within Capital Markets Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong Foreign Exchange back-office knowledge. This role is responsible for processing transactions that support Foreign Exchange Sales & Trading. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with strong communication skills. Additional responsibilities include internal communicating with Technology, Compliance, Risk, Sales and Trading internal partners. The Operations Specialist will follow policies and procedures with company standards and analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities to improvements.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Providing support to Front Office Sales & Trading desks across FX products (Spots, Forwards, NDFs, Swap, etc.)
  • Subject Matter Expert in all Back-Office operations.
  • Interact with clients, teammates from the LOB and other support teammates to process requests and resolve issues.
  • Support Capital Markets projects, including procedure updates, trainings, metrics, process improvements, audits and assuring all applicable project deliverables are on time.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements new processes, procedures and products to improve workflow, efficiency and/or profitability; oversees or participates in operations development and improvement programs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and root causes.
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility comply with policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Banking Operations in a financial institution required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Preferred 2-3 years of Foreign Exchange Operations Banking experience
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and organizational skills
  • Problem resolution / investigative abilities and meticulous
  • Must be an initiative-taker with the ability to work independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Extremely dependable and superior time-management skill
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

Starting base salary: $25.93 - $41.43 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
