Job description

Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented FX Sales I (Analyst) to join our dynamic Foreign Exchange team. This role involves supporting senior FX salespeople covering a portfolio of Middle Market and Corporate clients, executing trades, and proactively seeking new business opportunities through in-depth client discovery. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of FX products, pricing, and risk management. This position may require travel (10-20% of the time), including air travel and regional travel. This role, based in New York City, requires three to four days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.


Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management and Business Development:
o Work alongside senior salespeople to support and grow a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service
o Conduct in-depth client discovery dialogue to uncover new business opportunities
o Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned client base
o Conduct and support regular client meetings and attend industry events to expand the client network
o Build relationships with internal partners across Product, Trading, Credit, Operations and Relationship Management teams
o Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner

Deal Execution and Sales Support:
o Execute FX trades, including spot, forward, option, and swap deals
o Assist in pricing and structuring FX transactions
o Create presentation and marketing material for client, prospect, and internal meetings
o Monitor market movements and provide timely updates to clients and traders


Market Awareness:
o Stay up to date on market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events affecting FX markets
o Leverage market knowledge to provide insightful commentary and trade recommendations to clients

Operational Support:
o Assist in the day-to-day operations of the FX sales team
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
o Investigate and resolve payment issues, including wire tracking, trade confirmations, and settlement exceptions
o Execute trade amendments and corrections
o Serve as primary a liaison between Sales and Middle Office/Operations teams to expedite issue resolution
o Support trade booking and transaction workflow
o Monitor and assist with compliance requirements for client transactions
o Assist with data analysis and reporting for sales performance tracking
o Contribute to the development and improvement of operational processes


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Foreign Exchange OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Foreign Exchange

Preferred Qualifications:

If hired in NY/MA, the base pay for this position is generally between $143,850.00 and $191,900.00 If hired in NC, the base pay for this position is generally between $119,850.00 and $159,800.00 Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
