Originally a used bookstore, Bookmans has expanded to include various forms of media such as books, video games, music and movies as well as musical instruments, housewares, and collectibles. We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible to contribute toward regular and efficient circulation of housewares, toys, and jewelry product in the store by effectively purchasing, pricing, and stocking merchandise. All duties are performed with a commitment to actively serve customers and employ the Bookmans Way.
Job Requirements:
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times
• Sort and organize incoming merchandise
• Price incoming product
• Stock housewares, toys, and jewelry to shelves
• Maintain pricing consistency
• Maintain presentation on shelves
• Maintain knowledge of current stock on hand
• Evaluate housewares, toys, and jewelry (and other merchandise) for purchase at incoming counter
• Explain and negotiate (as necessary) deals with customers
• Maintain knowledge of current market trends
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
This position is Part-time (less than 32 hours per week)
