Job Summary:
The Foreign Exchange Wire Specialist I is responsible for providing the foreign exchange (FX) wire service to existing and prospective customers while delivering the "IBC Experience". Duties must be carried out accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This includes assigned duties in accordance with office procedures. Superior customer service with a "We Do More" attitude is a must. Provides an excellent opportunity for career-oriented individual.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The statements on this job description are intended to describe the general nature of level of work being performed by incumbents. They are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required by all incumbents.
  • Delivers the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
  • Informed of the daily currency exchange market rates.
  • Provides exchange rates to customers requesting wires in foreign currency.
  • Negotiates exchange rates with customers/prospects.
  • Creates FX quotes and initiates wire process through the Wire Transfer application.
  • Provide verbal disclosures to customers to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Assists Foreign Exchange Traders.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

SKILLS
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Knowledge of major world currencies and their value in relation to the U.S. Dollar.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Able to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and its applications.
  • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use calculator functions.
  • Analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Team player.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior sales or office work experience a plus.
