Summary of Job Duties:The College of Nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a visionary, strategic leader to serve as Associate Dean for Student Services, overseeing student affairs, enrollment management, and student engagement. Reporting to the Dean and serving on the senior leadership team, this executive oversees all Student Services operations, including recruitment events, admissions, enrollment management, pre-admission advising, orientation, student engagement, records, retention initiatives, financial aid collaboration, career readiness, commencement activities, and digital communications for undergraduate and graduate programs. The Associate Dean will develop and implement comprehensive, data-informed strategies to recruit, retain, and support student success, while advancing the College's mission, vision, and strategic priorities. This role collaborates with Academic Affairs, faculty, program directors, marketing, clinical partners, alumni, advancement, and university leadership to foster a student-centered environment that supports academic excellence, professional development, well-being, and inclusive engagement. The Associate Dean also leads enrollment forecasting, ROI analysis for marketing and recruitment, accreditation-related student outcome reporting, and the strategic use of technology to optimize Student Affairs operations. A key outcome is an enhanced, streamlined student journey across all programs and campuses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field plus ten (10) years of experience in Student and Academic Affairs or a closely related area, with five (5) or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced); Student Information Systems experience preferred.

  • Lead recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, and retention for undergrad and grad programs.

  • Track trends; support planning, grants, and reporting; project future FTEs.
