Job Overview:

The Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining food safety & sanitation standards across the facility. This role includes monitoring compliance with food safety regulations, conducting audits, providing training, and collaborating with other departments to ensure high standards. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of food safety practices, excellent attention to detail, effective communication and leadership skills.

  • Monitor production activities to ensure all chefs and employees comply with food safety regulations.
  • Assist chefs with cooking and cooling logs, safe storage other critical tasks.
  • Perform critical checks, including refrigeration, chemical concentration, temperature monitoring and equipment calibrations.
  • Conduct daily facility compliance walks, document findings, and assign corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure the facility is always inspection-ready for local regulators and third-party auditors.
  • Collaborate with the Food Safety team to deliver chef and employee training on food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Work closely with Culinary Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to identify and resolve food safety and quality issues.
  • Provide detailed reports on compliance status and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • 3-5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related role, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of food quality safety.
  • Formal food safety training or certification (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP)
