QUALITY ASSURANCE INTERNSHIP (PAID)

MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN COLLEGE.
MUST BE A JUNIOR OR SENIOR IN COLLEGE.
MUST BE LEGALLY ABLE TO WORK IN THE U.S.
ย 
PURPOSE โ€“
Support existing Quality Assurance System. May create, develop and execute the facilities quality system which ensures a safe and wholesome product that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Create, develop and validate the facilities master sanitation program that meets all good manufacturing practices and regulating authority requirements.ย 
ย 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY โ€“
1.ย ย ย ย ย Support Quality Assurance Manager and Food Safety Manager implement quality system that includes HACCP. Develop and update system as needed.
2.ย ย ย ย ย Encourage and enforce high quality standards that include GMP enforcement and ensure adherence to product quality specifications.
3.ย ย ย ย ย Observe and enforce GMPs on the plant floor.
4.ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate and support sanitation when necessary.
5.ย ย ย ย ย Create, develop and maintain an โ€œauditโ€ file to be presented to outside auditors that meets BRC standards.
6.ย ย ย ย ย Check-in product labels, cartons, and film.
7.ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate shelf-life studies, product testing, product evaluations and products comparisons.
8.ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate test blends and samples with blending and production.
9.ย ย ย ย ย Act as back up for QC techs on the production floor, when necessary.
10.ย Responsible for mailing samples to Merieux Nutrisciences (Silliker) when necessary.
11.ย Maintain a positive team member relationship with all LFFP team members
12.ย Complies with all company policies and procedures created to ensure the production of high-quality food-safe products.
13.ย Is responsible for supporting all daily activities related to the quality, food safety, and legality of all food products manufactured at this site.ย

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES-
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย BS degree in a related field of study and/or prior experience
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Lean, six sigma experience and/or other problem-solving training
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Interpersonal management skills
