About the Role

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and proper stock management in a cold storage environment. This role involves supervising the inventory team, conducting regular cycle counts, addressing discrepancies, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Team Supervision: Lead and manage the inventory control team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of all inventory data. Perform regular cycle counts, full physical inventories, and spot checks to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, or damage, in a timely manner. Work closely with receiving and shipping teams to identify and rectify issues.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS): Ensure accurate and efficient use of the WMS to track inventory movements, adjustments, and updates. Train staff on the effective use of the system.
  • Product Handling: Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of products, especially those requiring cold storage, to maintain product integrity and minimize damage or spoilage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments to maintain accurate stock levels and support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes and implement strategies to enhance accuracy and productivity.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and team performance. Provide insights and data to management to assist in operational planning.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols, particularly in handling cold storage products. Promote a safe working environment and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

What You Bring to the Pak

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in cold storage or food logistics is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification preferred
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices and processes.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in cold storage environments with temperatures as low as -20ยฐF.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Salary Range: $65,000 โ€“ $75,000 annually

The range listed is the Companyโ€™s good-faith estimate of the annual base salary for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, location, internal equity, and market factors, consistent with applicable pay transparency laws.
