Hope Mission Statement
The mission of Hope the Mission is to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions.
Position Purpose and Summary
Culinary skill produces great food. Logistics is what makes it possible to produce it thousands of times, across multiple sites, without running out of anything or breaking the supply chain the whole operation depends on. The Kitchen Logistics Manager is responsible for that infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director of Food Services, this role oversees all inventory management, storage and packaging for HTM's kitchen operations. That includes receiving and inspecting shipments conducting monthly inventory counts, controlling waste and spoilage, overseeing food packaging and labeling.
This position does not involve cooking. It involves making cooking possible at scale, every day, without disruption. When the inventory is right, the kitchen runs. When the kitchen runs, people get fed. The Kitchen Logistics Manager is accountable for making sure it works.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure they remain sufficient for daily kitchen operations
Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and spoilage
Notify the Executive Chef of low stock levels before they affect operations
Storage & Organization
Design and maintain storage systems that maximize capacity and ensure systematic, easy access to all items
Establish and enforce cleaning protocols for all stock areas including walk-in coolers and freezers
Conduct routine sanitation inspections and promptly address any maintenance or cleanliness issues
Operations & Communication
Maintain an active presence on the kitchen floor to oversee logistics operations
Ensure effective coordination between the logistics function and the culinary team
