Job description

We are seeking Food Prep assistants to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals. We seek full-time help for back-of-house cooking and prep on our taco and salad lines at LEGOLAND, New York. LEGOLAND New York work is seasonal so we are especially looking for people in need of a Summer job but with full time hours during that time.
Salary range: $17-$20 (based on relative experience)
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all served food.
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
