Job description

A Childcare Center located in Hoboken NJ. We are working to provide a new educational experience that focuses on nature, culture, and language.

We are looking for an individual that wants to make an impact on children’s development. The individual should be enthusiastic, hard-working, and a self-starter. As we are looking to have a language component, being fluent in Mandarin is a required skill for this position as you will be expected to teach lessons in Mandarin.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver early childhood enrichment classes focused on music, movement, and sensory
  • Utilize Dear World Academy lesson plans and curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents
  • Provide a nurturing environment and model positive behavior for students
  • Prepare the classroom environment for each lesson
  • Create a Mandarin immersive learning environment
  • Implement a multicultural experience that incorporates Mandarin and Chinese culture through lessons and projects that are age-appropriate

Basic Qualifications

  • Mandarin language proficiency REQUIRED
  • A Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelors in Education/Psychology with at least 2 years experience teaching in a preschool setting
  • Be able to perform, sing, and be silly in front of both children and adults
  • Enjoy engaging and connecting with families
  • Flexible attitude and positive attitude
  • Enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas
  • Experience teaching and/or working with children
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship for employment visa status

Preferred Skills:

  • Teaching and lesson planning experience
  • Experience in an immersive language teaching environment
