Job description

As an In-Home Flooring Sales Representative for the Costco Division of Worldwide Floring Design Center, you will meet with customers in their homes, assess their flooring needs, provide product recommendations and samples, measure spaces, and close sales. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who understands flooring products and enjoys working directly with homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home consultations with customers throughout Central New Jersey and Monmouth/Ocean County
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate flooring solutions
  • Measure rooms and prepare accurate estimates
  • Present product options, samples, and pricing
  • Close sales and follow up with customers
  • Coordinate with office staff and installers to ensure smooth project completion
  • Maintain strong product knowledge of flooring materials and installation methods
  • Generate referrals and repeat business through excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Flooring knowledge required (hardwood, vinyl, laminate, carpet, tile, etc.)
  • Sales experience required, preferably in flooring, home improvement, or remodeling
  • Ability to measure rooms accurately
  • Strong communication and closing skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work 5 days a week, including Saturdays
