Job description

California Concepts Flooring Inc. is expanding, and we are looking for hardworking, reliable individuals to join our crew. Whether you are an experienced pro who can run a job site or someone eager to learn the trade, we have a spot for you.

Position 1: Lead Flooring Installer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Installer who takes pride in their work, knows how to manage a crew, and can deliver high-quality results on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage flooring installations (LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile, carpet, etc.) from prep to finish.

  • Read and interpret job plans and measurements accurately.

  • Prepare subfloors, including leveling, grinding, and moisture mitigation.

  • Manage job site safety, cleanliness, and material inventory.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project managers.

  • Train and guide helper crew members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum [Insert Number] years of professional flooring installation experience.

  • Must have your own basic tools (specialty tools provided/negotiable).

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot on-site issues.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Position 2: Flooring Helper / Apprentice

We are willing to train the right person! If you show up on time, work hard, and want to learn a valuable trade, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Installer with all aspects of flooring installation.

  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.

  • Perform demolition and removal of old flooring.

  • Help with floor prep (scraping, sweeping, mixing leveling compounds).

  • Keep the job site clean and organized throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • No prior flooring experience required, but experience in construction or manual labor is a plus.

  • Must be highly reliable and punctual.

  • Ability to perform physical labor, including heavy lifting (50+ lbs), kneeling, and bending for extended periods.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions and learn.
