Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating field operations, scheduling crews, managing subcontractors and vendors, ensuring project quality, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects while ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple construction projects from start to finish.

  • Schedule and manage field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Supervise field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within quality standards.

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff.

  • Document all critical project communications-including scheduling, pricing, product selections, change orders, and contract updates-via email.

  • Review project progress and verify completion before approving subcontractor payments.

  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, pre-construction walkthroughs, and final inspections as needed.

  • Coordinate project punch lists and ensure timely completion of outstanding items.

  • Review and process change orders, ensuring proper approval before additional work begins.

  • Monitor compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable construction practices.

  • Ensure Field Supervisors complete assigned responsibilities and project documentation.

  • Provide administrative and project documentation support as required.

  • Utilize company checklists and procedures throughout each phase of the project.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience in construction, flooring, drywall, interior finishes, or a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of construction materials, installation methods, and project sequencing.

  • Knowledge of fire-rated assemblies and building standards is preferred.

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing field personnel.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and project management software.

  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with commercial and residential construction projects.

Work Schedule

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to visit construction sites and work in indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to inspect work areas and navigate active job sites safely.
