Commercial Flooring Apprentice
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience
Start Your Career in Commercial Flooring
Jack Laurie Group is looking for a hardworking and dependable Commercial Flooring Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of construction, flooring, or trade-related experience who wants to build a long-term career in the flooring industry.
You'll work alongside experienced installers on commercial projects throughout Northeast Indiana, learning the skills needed to install a wide variety of flooring products including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and more.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with the installation of commercial flooring materials including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and other floor coverings
  • Prepare job sites and flooring surfaces for installation
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
  • Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices
  • Assist with floor preparation, layout, cutting, fitting, and finishing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow company safety policies and job site requirements
  • Travel to project sites throughout Northeast Indiana as needed
  • Work closely with experienced installers to develop your trade skills

  • 1-3 years of construction, flooring, or related trade experience preferred
