Who We're Hiring:
Woodfin-Your Home Team is searching for an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Apprentice to join our team! The IAQ Apprentice assists Technicians in servicing the Central VA Area to install air purification systems, germicidal UV lights, humidifiers, encapsulations, clean air ducts and other related tasks to ensure Woodfin's customers receive the purest breathable air possible.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in the installation of air purification systems, germicidal UV lights, and/or humidifiers.
  • Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces.
  • Fit, wrap, staple, or glue insulating materials to structures or surfaces.
  • Distribute insulating materials evenly into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls.
  • Clean job site and prepare surfaces prior to installation.
  • Clean air ducts throughout customer's homes.
  • Assist in the installation various types of insulation and encapsulation products.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience performing tasks related to the job (Crawl space encapsulations, air duct cleaning, air purifying system installs, etc.) is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Physically capable of working in Crawl Spaces or Attics for prolonged periods of time.
  • Fluent English-speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Driving Requirements
    • Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
    • Must have positive points on state driving record.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
    • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
    • All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
