Job Summary:

The primary job responsibilities of the position are to perform all prepress functions in a manner as to ensure

optimal print reproduction.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • File inception / preflighting / troubleshooting
  • Perform file and image manipulation to optimize print process while preserving original file content
  • Perform file trapping, assign line screens, screen angles, dot shapes
  • File RIP including inspection and QC
  • Ensure all CPs print specifications are met
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, ESKO Automation Engine, Packedge, Plato
  • Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP's) and any job or department specific SOP's.
    • SOP's may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
      • Employee Health and Safety
      • SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
      • SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP's
  • Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
  • Special Projects & other duties as necessary

None

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years' experience working as prepress operator
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Other knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
