Senior IT Data Analyst

The Data Architecture and Engineering Chapter Area is looking for a Senior IT Data Analyst whose work will help people make real-time business decisions to better optimize their portfolio of delivery work to bring more value to Fidelity and our customers. Your work enables real-time views into work, objectives, people, and financials at all levels of the organization to allow agile associates and leaders to look across squads, product areas and domains to better understand dependencies, shared work progress and how their work connects to Fidelity’s overall strategy and Enterprise Priorities. Through your analysis skills, leadership behaviors, organizational savvy, and data savvy, we are excited for your emergence as a recognized authority in influencing our emergent capability!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

You are an expert in gathering business requirements and translating them to data solutions. You are skilled at effectively defining use cases and simplifying complex concepts.

You’ve helped influence and design solutions that bridge analytical and real-time operational data needs.

You have experience modeling a robust data and flexible data model using AtScale’s unified semantic layer.

You are able to define user stories and validate the impact of changes to datasets and data models. You can break up complex work into digestible work elements. You have a good, applied knowledge of agile methodologies and practices. Familiarity with Jira / Jira Align is a big plus.

You have an excellent working knowledge of SQL or Python, and are able to independently wrangle our datasets to obtain valuable insights.

You understand and communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. You make the complicated simple.

You have a passion for continuous learning, mastering of new skills, and keeping abreast of the latest innovations across data analytics.

You have strong data analysis and data profiling skills, and can define robust test scenarios.

You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You are able to identify alternative approaches and make recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.

You are known as a go-getter, with the ability to unravel a mystery – data, business process or organizational.

You apply data management and data modelling practices when building data solutions.

You are an effective communicator with a strong ability to cultivate relationships. You have excellent communication and presentation skills.

Your familiarity with enterprise data lakes and Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake is a big plus.

The Team

The Data as a Service squad is aligned within the Managing the Work and Portfolio Outcomes Product Area of Enterprise Technology. Your team is enabled with support of you ScrumMaster and leadership of your squad leader. Your squad will evolve, champion and defend our data model while productizing the Managing the Work offering to provide value to our consumers around the enterprise. We ultimately want our platform to be a destination for faster analytic discovery about the delivery ecosystem (includes, but not limited to, JIRA, JIRA Align, Workforce Connect, TBM, Domo, Agility Health).

Your chapter-based alignment will enable you to maintain a broader perspective of how your work fits into Fidelity’s overall data platform and strategy and is focused on your overall career growth and development.
